Source Artest has game, but can you put him ahead of Shard after last season? You can if you are this idiot. have I ever mentioned that I hate sports writers?
Rashard has a more dynamic offensive game than Artest, but Artest is a more well rounded basketball player and contributes as much, if not more to his team with his stellar individual defense. If Artest EVER finds a way to channel his passion and hs fire 100% on the court, and learns to leave it there when he steps off the court...he will deserve a top 5 ranking at the SF spot. We all know what Rashard needs to do to elevate his game. He needs to get better off the dribble...develop a pull up jumper and realize that defense is more than length and passing lanes. Some would say he needs to develop toughness...I think he has some, but needs to figure out what he can and can't do when he is injured. If they are both playing for their teams I would put Artest ahead of Lew at this point...in terms of their contributions to their teams, though I think Lew has more potential in the long run.
"though you have to admire his courage in playing through pain despite the tendinitis"<---quote from the writer this thread was about. Of the things to compliment for Rashard Lewis (and the list is a decent one) would anyone pick his toughness? lol

First, Bowen wasn't a free agent. Second, he is a perennial starter. Third, the Spurs Devin Brown did indeed sign an offer sheet from the Jazz. He can't even tell the difference between Devin Brown and Bruce Bowen???? We can't take his opinions too seriously...
Rashard has to work a little more on his defensive game. he showed improvement last year. and yeah...his toughness..he's gotta take it to the rack stronger. If he can do that...he's gonna be a prennial allstar.
Sweet Lew is a very good player, but I don't believe that he is among the elite when it comes to small forwards. It doesn't necessarily have to do with his toughness, moreso than it has to do with the fact that he is and always will be a complimentary player. I could never imagine him as the centerpiece to someone's playoff caliber ball club--and he has too many other areas of concern that causes me to doubt his standing among his peers at his position. If he was a great penetrator, a gritty post player, a lock down defender, a yeoman on the boards, a rangy shot blocker, or a clutch scorer I could look past his passive demeanor--but those qualities are all lacking in his game. His best attribute is his outside shooting and that alone shouldn't put him over the likes of Carmelo Anthony, especially considering that he is 6'10". That being said, looking at this list I think that #7 is a justified selection.
Ron Artest an't got nothing on Reshard Lewis And That's Period! (Reshard Lewis led the NBA, in 3-pointers last year!) (What has Artest done lately for his team, Besides give them: angry fans, Suspened players, & a season's suspension for himself.
