    He's a great player but you don't spend that much on a 28 year old runningback...they now have no cap flexability.

    Yeah, I agree, 8 years is pretty ridiculous? 36 years old when that contract runs out, do they really think he's still going to be productive then

    They can always release him if He's making that much money and he's not putting up numbers. But 8 years and 60 mil isnt anything compared to players like Peyton Manning who is just as old.

    Peyton Manning is an all-pro quarterback, much different than a runningback. Seattle has the blockers to a Denver Broncos team where they can plug any decent runningback in and they would do fine. I just don't think paying Alexander this much money is helpfull because it forces them into the Colts situation where you will have to let players go and not be a factor in free agency for years.Because of this they will have to let pro-bowl G Steve Hutchinson go who was one of the main factors in Alexanders season last year.
