http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2011/2/9...n-with-chael-sonnen-ben-askren-during-ufc-129 According to Mauro Renallo, Jake Shields, who faces Georges St. Pierre on April 30th for the UFC Welterweight Championship of the World, has invited Chael Sonnen and Ben Askren to his camp to help him prepare. If you were to make a list of the best wrestlers in MMA, Sonnen and Askren would be in the top five with St. Pierre. Since it seems the only chance Shields has of winning the fight is to get St. Pierre on his back it would follow that Sonnen and Askren will be there to help him work on his shoot and clinch take-downs. Shields mostly utilizes a single-leg that St. Pierre should be prepared for. In contrast St. Pierre has been working his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for the fight. St. Pierre traveled to England to work with Team Rough House, specifically with BJJ World Champions Roger Gracie and Braulio Estima. Other members of that camp include Paul Daley and former St. Pierre opponent Dan Hardy (who didn't appear to be present during St. Pierre's visit). St. Pierre likes to tailor his fighting style to the weaknesses of his opponent. Since Shields has excellent "American" Jiu-Jitsu grappling skills, one would imagine that St. Pierre will keep the fight standing. However, as we've seen in his fights with BJ Penn and Jason Miller, talented grapplers in their own right, St. Pierre is able to keep himself safe and do damage in top position. He may be planning to wear Shields out with level-changes, kickboxing, and take-downs.
