The Shooting Stars competition actually looks good this year. They got some big names competing.

Tracy McGrady, Kobe Bryant, Shawn Marion, Tony Parker

The Rockets should replace Drexler with Calvin Murphy! Rockets fans would go crazy! I know I would. Cmon Rockets, if you're gonna replace Murphy with Drexler as a broadcaster, the least you could do is replace Drexler with Murphy as a Shooting Star.

I'd love for Murphy to be the replacement, but I doubt that will happen with his off-court problems. I don't know if he'd want that kind of exposure.

    How about John Lucas?

Since the other teams have like kerr, magic, and dan majerle, i think the rockets should get Matt Bullard (a rockets broadcaster)!!. He's pretty good..

Why not just Kenny Smith? Great shooter back in his day and he's actually a probably solution since Murphy had those court issues (no pun intended). Durvasa, who's John Lucas? I haven't been following the NBA long enough to have even heard of him.

It turns out that Drexler is still gonna participate. He just said it during tonights game against the Jazz.

Bill Worrell: - "Didn't you just just have knee surgery?"

Clyde Drexler: - "Uh yea, but that's just a temporary set back. I'll be ready."

Haha. Well that's great news. T-Mac, Swoopes, and Drexler are gonna win it now!

Remember John Lucas, Jr who played with the Rockets earlier this season?

His Dad. He played for the Rockets in 70s/80s.

John Lucas, the first overall pick of the 76 draft by the Rockets. Great talent but drug problems took over. He was coaching for a while, last as the Cavs coach in 01-02, and has been running a training club in Houston since. Works with a lot of high schoolers. Pretty sure Kendrick Perkins and Ndudi Ebi were his disciples.

It'd be great to have Matt Bullard replace Drexler, seeing how he's a great shooter, and he should give us good odds of making that halfcourt shot.
