He's been putting up great numbers this year, but is he good enough to be an All Star? He is a West Forward, it's got lots of depth and has Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan who are basically assured of a spot on the team. Kirilenko is more versatile than a lot of the West Forwards, but his numbers in points and rebounds aren't as good as the other contenders. Although he is among the NBA leaders in steals and blocks. He's proven Utah are nothing without him, and given them a very respectable record. Personally I think her deserves to be an All Star, but there probably isn't room for him. Their are so many other West forwards that are all star worthy.
I agree with you, but look at this way, so many people deserve to go, but due to favorites and voting, others go. TMac is a great player and has been for the year, it's based on individual performance and not team. Hence AK47 should go, he's carrying his team very well. He's in the same boat as TMac and probably the Suns as they really only have the Matrix and Amare. Look at this way, workhorses and good players like Ginobili would be awesome to have their, but would they be allowed/voted/chosen? Now that's an entirely different story, look at it this way. What if Cassell did not go, that would be really unfair wouldn't it. Same goes for AK47.
