I'm sick of watching our team crumble when Carlos Arroyo is leading our offense. It seems like when he is in, that's when our guards dominate the ball and we start jacking up stupid shots. Travis Diener proved he could run the offense when Dooling was out and I'm all for bumping him ahead of Arroyo on the depth chart. What do you guys think?
I agree. From what I've seen of Diener so far (not much), he looks great. He perfoms well when he is given time and he doesn't take a lot of shots. Not to mention he can hit the 3!
What playmaking skills? Arroyo sucks. Really. Diener has great court vision too. He avergaed 17 points and 7 assists in that summer league. He should at least get time-- maybe split his time with Arroyo.
I think before we sit Arroyo we should see what we can get for him, If we can't get anything then we should sit him and make Diener 2nd pg and increase Jameer's minutes.
I think they should atleast try Travis and see what he can do. Arroyo has struggled ever since being put in the starting lineup to replace Nelson when he was hurt. Travis is capable of leading the second string and i think he deserves the chance. He has waited for 2 years and i think with the recent play of Arroyo he should play.
Should Diener play ahead of Arroyo? I don't think that is the right question: When is Orlando trading Arroyo? 'Nuff said.
Orlando can't trade Arroyo. He has no trade value. Diener has a higher trade value. We need to play Diener asap if we want to win some games. Arroyo sucks. I hate these Puerto Rican fans that think he's good simply because he's Puerto Rican. I'm not hating on PR but these people as biase. Diener is a better PG and can actually shoot.
