Right now dwight howard is kind of built simmilar to how shaq was in his rookie season, and just from watching yesterdays game against the heat, he was manhandled by shaq. do you think he should follow shaqs path and start bulking up to the 300+ level? would that help or hurt his game?

He needs to get stronger so he can stay physical down low, but 300+ is not good for anyone.

He's only 20, he will grow into his frame. He will be fine. I mean who can outphysical Shaq?

He will continue to add muscle but I don't think should he should try to gain weight as it would make him more injury prone (more stress on bones ect.)

He should definitely bulk up, but not to Shaq's size. I think Howard's frame is similar to someone like Karl Malone. I think it's more important he increases his strength as long as he can stay mobile.

After Shaq, there aren't any centers who overwhelm you with size. Shaq only has a few years left, and then the explosive, faster centers will start dominating this league, Dwight Howard will be one of them. Amare Stoudemire will be another one, and then maybe Bosh, if he ends up at Center by bulking up.

Another 10lbs of muscle would give him the perfect body.

Shaq has a much bigger frame. Shaq is a huge bastard all over, so 300+lbs is about right for him.

I agree 10-15 more pounds of muscle would put Dwight at around 270-275 as he is around 260-265 now, that would be a good weight for him
