It seems that some people think Favre should of demanded a trade to a team like the Dolphins who needed a QB. IMO Favre wants to be loyal to the Packers and stay where he knows everyone on his team and with the greatest fans in the world.
Jason Whitlock said this and he meant Favre should've asked right after the season. Now Favre won't be traded and I'm not sure his heart is anywhere's but Green Bay. He'd retire before he asked to be traded in my opinion.
Favre has already won a championship. If he was at this point in his career without a ring, then yes, I think he may have asked to be traded to a contender. As it stands, he still loves the game and loves Green Bay, so there's no reason for him to play for anyone else.

He would not have debated going to another team as much as Marino did w/ Minny.
Marino deserved and wanted a ring, i woulden't have blamed him if he did go to Minny or Pittsburgh but im glad he retired a dolphin myself.
It would have been better if he'd retire in the first place then he wouldn't be in this situation. IMO, Favre would never want to be traded from Green Bay because I doubt he would want to leave, let alone learn a new offense. But he would rather endure another long season with the Packers and having others question his ability to play at his age. Good luck Favre!
i never ever heard that but i think it doesnt even make sense i dont think Favre would play in any other place outside of Green Bay as others said it doesnt really make sense i dont htink hes in it for the rings just to play now. I hope he announces his retirement right after the season so there isnt a whole stupid media thing goin on for 6 months about if hes gonna retire or not

Favre himself said he wouldn't go anywhere, but don't say he doesn't want another ring. What else is he playing for other then his love for the game. I predict he does take down Marinos all time td record this year
I agree that this year he'll pass Marino's all time td record ( Marino 420 Favre 396). There's also a chance that he'll pass Elway and Marino's marks for most wins as a starting QB (Elway 148 Marino 147 and Favre 139).

If he plays 2 more years Marino's record is a given for him to break. I think he'll miss both by just a slight margin.
In 2004 Favre threw 30 TD's, last year he threw 20 TD's, to pass Marino's TD record he needs to throw 25 TD's this year. I think that there's a good chance he does it. As for the all time wins for a starting QB he needs 10 wins, I think there's a chance that the Packers can win 10 but I think that he has a better chance to get the 25 TD's.
I haven't checked but I'm sure Brett has more td's per game then Marino or maybe anyone for that matter. The wins it's to bad about last year or he'd or he'd og gotten that one
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pack Attack)</div><div class='quotemain'>Favre also needs 289 attempts to pass Marino in that category as well.</div> http://www.packers.com/history/record_book/favre_watch/ On the Packers site it says he needs 749 pass attempts to pass Marino He needs 290 completions to pass him in that category.
