Should GSP have pressured the UFC to make the Diaz fight happen anyway?

?

What should Georges have done?

  1. GSP/Diaz was the fight fans wanted, GSP said he wanted it, he should've pushed to make it happen

  2. GSP isn't responsible for Diaz's actions and the UFC was right, Diaz couldn't be relied upon

    Here is Nick Diaz's claim:

Despite his mistake/confusion regarding the press conferences, he thinks GSP did him dirty by not pushing for the fight to happen regardless. He thinks GSP is ducking him by allowing the UFC to pull Diaz from the fight and replace him with Condit, and is angered that GSP laughed at Diaz's no-show.

    What do you think?

I'm the biggest proponent of Nick whooping GSP's ass and I totally disagree. If I'm GSP I may push Dana to never put me in another situation where Diaz could ruin another big fight during my prime because he won't show up for PR stuff (or he'll test positive for weed or do something else crazy). Diaz is totally to blame and giving me even less confidence that we'll ever see this fight due to the fact that he is somehow still managing to blame others for all of this bullshit.

I don't really agree with either poll option.

I didn't want the fight canceled...but it is absurd and childish for Diaz to suggest GSP is somehow at fault.

Georges is pretty easygoing and it is crazy to expect him to stump for Diaz after the way Diaz acted, forcing GSP to handle two pressers alone like an idiot (and in so doing demonstrating his lack of interest in the fight).

Also, Georges' fans are happy with him fighting Condit, who is also an exciting opponent.

All that being said I think most people wanted and still want to see him fight Diaz and it is a shame that things turned out the way they did, despite the UFC making a quick save with the shuffle.
