[/FONT] should popovich be fired? i think so. a loss to the clippers is a huge embarrassment. Its the clippers!!! the spurs shot poorly and it was probably cause a lack of practice. coach pop should fire up the spurs and create a good mental state so the spurs could beat the lakers. thats what phil jackson did to his lakers! thats why we lost in a blowout. the lakers will eventually try to kick us while were down but if pop fires up his team we might have a chance. but he probably won't cause he sucks. the other day against golden state, what did he do he gave up!! half the players that were on the court in the final 4 minutes or so were bench players!! where was bruce bowen? he could have shot a three and might have won us the game! where was robert horry the "spurs killer"? he could have done the same. its all up to the coach and thats why pop sucks!

Ok you get the award for joke of the day..well done sir.How could you fire a coach that has won titles..won coach of the year last year while winning 60 games then going all the way.He is a good coach and the Spurs are struggling but it isn't something that is new. They struggled last year to start off and went on a big run in the 2nd half of the season.Could you name me one coach who could do a better job to replace him?

This is a pretty good joke. Fire the 2002-2003 Coach of the Year after a couple of losses? [IMG]

Who is the genius that discovered Tony Parker or Stephen Jackson? Popovich or the GM? Ginobili is not a discover, I saw him 3 years ago in the Euroleague and wow.

No Popovich shouldn't be fired. This is probably a slow start by San Antonio. Every team goes through a stretch like that. But I'm sure the Spurs in the second half will turn it up a notch and get themselves back into playoff contention. Last year when the Lakers went 11-19, did anybody say fire Phil Jackson? No way.

All I can do is laugh. He should NOT be fired because of the points allnet has stated. This isn't new to the Spurs franchise, they've gotten off to slow starts before. Remember last year with their streak just before the all-star break all the way to the end of the season? They were on fire, and that is likely it will happen this year.

Once Rasho gets fully comfortable with the new offence (which was the reason he sat out at the start of the season), and of cource the other newcommers, they'll be fine.

Pop is one of two active coaches who have won titles, and you want to fire him? Sorry, but you sound like George Steinbrenner but without the money and Yankees.
