In 2009 is it really acceptable for two teams in the ‘greatest league in the world’ to cancel games due to the weather?

It’s not like we are half a metre deep in snow is it? Portsmouth have a poor ground by the Premier League’s standards, but you would expect the under pitch heating to be up to scratch. Fulham, likewise, have a poor ground in comparison to most and according to Big ‘Fat’ Sam this morning, the heaters had been on full time for 5 days.

The real blow, of course, is to the fans, both sets having to travel from the Greater Manchester area.

Surely, in this day and age, this is simply unacceptable and the League should investigate, fining the the clubs and giving the cash to the fans would be the least they could do.
