Do yougize think ricky davis is going to start next season? Or you think Doc is going to keep him on the bench so that he can come in and bring some energy. Ricky Davis can start no question because he is good enough, but I would make him come off the bench because if he would start we wouldnt really have that 1 guy who can come in off the bench and change the game.
    So...what do yougize think?

If Pierce were to be traded i think Davis would start. Although if pierce stays i think allen will start and davis will provide energy off the bench.

This is really a question you should be asking when we know what the roster is going to consist of. But, in general, I think Ricky Davis should not start unless we absolutely need him to.

He was the best sixth man in the league last year, and a lot of people don't realize how important a role it is. He was probably responsible for more wins off the bench last year then Pierce was in the starting role. Having Davis come off the bench also makes the best out of Ainge and Doc's running game, because it keeps a scorer on the floor for all 48 minutes.

No. He has his best positive impact this season by coming off the bench. So why try to fix something thats not broken? If he starts his stats may look better, but his impact will diminsh some and if anybody knows basketball knows that it's all about impact and not statistics. So I think it would be best for the team if Doc continued having him come off the bench.

Like 44 said, he was one of the best 6th Men in the NBA last year and he played just as well coming off the bench as he did in the starting lineup. He also brings that strong bench presence which is always useful.

I would not start him. Davis makes an impact off the bench. Depending on what the Celtics do with their starters this year, I would not start him. But, if Pierce is traded, Davis would probably start.

I would keep him on the bench, because in addition to being a great sixth man, he's also the leader of the second group which, even though they are a year older, is still going to be very young.
