Hmm. I could see it going either way. Attendance in NO is terrible. Even back when they went to the playoffs, the attendance wasn't good at all. Now, that could change with the atmosphere changing in NO. I'd say give it a year and see how it goes. I'm not sure how attendance would be in OKC. It probably wouldn't be amazing, but I'd bet it would be better. In short, I'd say they should eventually move to OKC. I don't see attendance improving (it might even get worse), and even though we might feel bad for NO, I don't think that will help the franchise.
Stay in OKC. They showed last year that they can support a team. The attendance in NO was always terrible..too bad for new orleans..they had their shot.
I think both cities deserve a NBA team. I htink they should stay and will stay...but it wouldnt surprise me in a couple years theres a Oklahoma City Sonics.
If Hurricane Katrina didnt happen, all of you would be saying that New Orleans doesn't deserve a team..
Exactly, the stuff they have been through they should have a good team. I would care less b4 Katrina, but theyve been through alot so they deserve something nice to represent the city.
I think they should and will go back to New Orleans. I mean Oklahoma City as far as I know is only temporary. And I'm not saying it because of Hurricane Katrina. Their the original team and it should stay that way. Oklahoma City has a good shot at landing a possible franchise in the future, as someone stated Sonics are a possibility.
I think the Hornets ought to stay in Oklahoma City because New Orleans has a horrible attendance. People just don't have time in NO to support the Hornets, so why keep the team there? People in NO are more worried about another hurricane hitting than they are about the Hornets making the Playoffs.. and you can't blame them.
They should stay in Oklahoma City obviously. Even if they go back to New Orleans, within a few years they will ahve to relocate anyways. Attendence last year in OKC was among the best in the league. There are already rumors going around that the Hornets have asked to stay another year in Oklahoma
