I may sound crazy and I'm not being a racist here...Just want y'all's opinion on this. NBA championships are typically won by a team with a black superstar and a white coach. The current Mavericks team seems to have exactly the opposite with Dirk and Avery Johnson at those spots. The only team in recent history to to so with success were the 80s Celtics with Larry Bird and KC Jones as their head coach. With Dirk being constantly compared to Bird, should Mark Cuban think out of the box and rework the roster all over and model the team like the 80s Celtics? I understand the current Mavs team cant be compared to the celtics team with several hall of fame players. But Mavs have the assets to bring such talent. Will this model bring a championship in this era?
