I'm thinking on the side of the players, and how many seasons they can play. I don't think they should add 2 more games.
But they aren't adding any games... just changing 2 preseason games to regular season games. It will not put much extra wear and tear on these guys bodies.
4 preseason games was always pretty useless. It never took 4 games to get a player back into rhythm/enough reps, that's what the offseason is for.
It was hard to lose 16 games the one year. Almost had to turn in my fan card. I don't want to go 0-18.
I selected add 2, but a couple negatives. While they are just subtracting two preseason games, how many starters play a full preseason game. I don't think a single starter played in the last preseason game for the Cowboys,,,which might have been a mistake! But that means there is going to be more wear and tear on players. Also, it's going to hurt fringe players. Those players that come from no where and make the team won't happen as often with less time to show their skills and it's not just playing two less games the starters are going to have to play more mins to get ready for the regular season since there are two less games. I know a positive for the fan though is you pay full price for preseason or regular season so it's nice to see the starters.
