I was thinking, 30 people in one round is alot. If you're getting a 1st round draft pick you don't know if you're going to be 16 or 30 same with the 2nd round. You don't know if you'll be 31 or 60. So i was thinking to make things based less on luck we just have 3 rounds but make them with 20 picks so there's still 20 picks. I think it also brings value to 1st round picks. some say that the value of a 3rd round pick will be to low for people to care, not true. It could be a decent throw in and you can clear roster space by trading your garbage players for it.Anyways what do you guys think?

Wouldn't that make things confusing? With their being 30 teams in the NBA, and that basically being the format for the first round. If you split it up into 3 rounds, it doesn't matchup with the number of teams.

If players from 2nd rounds do something in their careers, it's a big deal. There is no way a 3rd Round would work, as only about 1% of players would go on to acheive something

no. most of the time people drafted in the late second round aren't in the league 3 years later.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nba dogmatist @ Jul 11 2006, 08:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>no. most of the time people drafted in the late second round aren't in the league 3 years later.</div>exactly. even a few players in the first round dont turn out to do sh*t so there would be no need to have 3 rounds. Take Mike Gansey for example this year. He didnt get drafted this year but he got picked up by the heat and is making just as much money as he would if he was drafted late 2nd.

Nope. There is absolutely no reason to add a third round to the NBA Draft. Two rounds is plenty... the only way another round would be added is if for some unknown reason the NBA decides to cut down the number of teams currently in the league.

No, keep it tha way it is. There is nothing wrong with the NBA draft and I love how it is now. No change is needed.

What's the point of doing that? That would just be rediculous.

I think the NBA should keep it the way it is. But I also like it like it is in the NFL when it's 7 rounds it's fun watching until like the 5th round.
