He is 33 years old and still has nagging injuries. Should we unload him now while his trade value is still high? I am undecided on this, I love Camby and I love what he brings to the table but he will be on the downside of his career very soon. I would like to trade him before his stock drops. Agree? Disagree?

His stock was at an all time high, and I knew Camby wouldn't sustain it for the entire season. The Nuggets season took a downturn in their first game, when Nene tore his MCL and ACL. Trading him now really depends on what the team's goal is for this season. The Nuggets will struggle to make the playoffs this year, and they're far from being a true title contender. However, this team might just be content on making it to the post season for experience, eventhough they won't make it past Round 1.
I wouldn't say we will struggle to make the playoffs, We play in the weakest division in the Western Conference. The Nuggets lost there best big man off the bench in Nene for the whole season, Kenyon Martin hasn't been healthy all season, Marcus Camby missed a bunch of games. Nene missed the ENTIRE season. Kenyon Martin missed 26 games. Marcus Camby missed 26 games. DerMarr Johnson missed 24 games. Earl Boykins missed 22 games. Eduardo Najera missed 18 games. Francisco Elson missed 10 games. Yet we still won 44 games, We now have a healthy roster, We finally added a shooting guard, And Carmelo has one more year of expierence under his belt.
It depends on who you get for Camby. If you can get a young, up coming center that is promising I say yes. Lol, be awesome if the Lakers traded Bynum for Camby, though it wouldn't be possible.

When the Jazz were healthy in the very early stages of last season, they were dominating the opposition. This season the competition out West will be tough with the revamped Warriors and deeper Rockets also in the mix. The long term problems I still see for the Nuggets is not having another consistent outside threat. JR Smith is streaky, and more of a slasher. He'll be fantastic on the break, but when defenses focus on shutting down Melo, who's going to step up on offense? The Nuggets made a huge investment in Nene this offseason, and in order for him to develop they need to get him minutes. The Nuggets have enough depth on the frontline to trade Camby now and open up more minutes for Nene at center. Reggie Evans and Joe Smith are capable of playing a combined 20 to 25 minutes a night. How about sending him back to the Knicks for Jamal Crawford and David Lee?

Andre Miller is one of the worst shooting point guards in the league, Martin is shooting midrange jumpshots when he should be driving to the basket. We may have the best fastbreak team in the league in terms of numbers but most of our players cant create shots for themselves. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">How about sending him back to the Knicks for Jamal Crawford and David Lee?</div> Dont tease me I would do that trade in a heartbeat and it would benefit the Knicks also. They need a low post presence and they are stockpiled with Shooting guards. I love Camby, I love his energy and production but his days are numbered. If we trade him now when his value is high, we will make out better for the future.
