    ...and put Greg on IR.

I like Mikki Moore. He could have helped this team. Celtics beat us to it, though.

    Oh, well.............

I was thinking the same thing last night when we had to trot out Frye in the 1st quarter.

Until Oden can demonstrate that he can stay healthy for stretches, we need a backup for his backup.

3 points a game Mikki Moore? That guy would've helped? The guy who played 18 minutes a game on the worst team in the league?

    He would've helped?

No thanks. Frye is as good as Moore.

Yes, an extra big - a banger - would have helped.

Even Nate, himself, is concerned that we currently have a shortage of bigs.

I'm just saying that it "appears" Greg is not provide consistent minutes this season. Moore could have been had on the cheap and would have been the type of player/body to fill the need.

Yah, an extra big would help. But let's not proselytize scrub players that get signed by other teams, and act like they'll make a dent of a difference here.

I'm just concerned that Greg will end up being out more than he's in..and that Joel won't be able to hold out on his own.

Oh, and Frye may indeed be better than Moore, overall, but we're talking apples and oranges here when it comes to physicality.

Moore is 225 lbs. He's not a physical player.

We have 15 roster spots, and they're full up. Who do you think we should dump? Raef?

What would have been the ramifications of that --- financial, or otherwise?

Here's someone better than Mikki Moore (or Ruffin, or probably any of our backup PFs):

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/SU_QLc7fUMg&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/SU_QLc7fUMg&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

And he's available: he had some kind of disagreement with his Spanish Team, so has just recently been playing in the D-League. And playing rather well. He's a bit like a young Ben Wallace - insane athleticism but very little O. He was easily the second-best player (behind Deng, well ahead of Freeland) on the GB Team that overachieved last Summer.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this in the thread, as I haven't finished reading it. It sounds as if Drew Gooden might be bought out of his contract (from an article I read yesterday) by the Kings as he's refusing to report. Gooden by far is a better player and would provide more tangible assets to this Blazers roster than Frye...or Mikki Moore. If Gooden is indeed let go by the Kings, I hope Portland jumps on that oppurtunity quickly.

Frye is better than Moore, and he's only being played due to injuries. I don't see any use for Moore here. Besides, why would Moore want to come here anyways?
