Will someone who saw this movie and actually understood what happened explain it to me? I just got done seeing it and I'm confused out of my mind? What happened at the end? Why can't the wife and girl see the father?
Because they're dead. After the car crash, they died, and they're stuck in that seperate reality. It was a pretty confusing movie. The only reason I didn't have too much trouble was, because I'm a big fan of the games. I thought it was a good movie, though.
Thanks it all makes sense now. Another thing is at the end of the movie did the evil part of the girl get absorbed into the good one....when the mother told her to close her eyes but she kept them open?
Chutney hit it right on the head. They actually died and are in a completely separate reality as everyone else. And it was a pretty damn good movie as well.
Did you understand the part of them seperating? Just in case you didn't, when the girl was recovering in the hospital, she split into two people. One was built of all her anger and hatred for the townspeople and it stayed at the bottom of the town. The other was made of all her goodness and stuff. She was put in an orphanage and the parents adopted her. When the evil part was done getting revenge on the crazy religious people, they re-united and then they were basically ghosts.
