<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Simmons is accused of fondling a 25-year-old woman around 2 a.m. Saturday morning in a car after leaving a downtown bar, said Lt. Mark Ciske, of the department's Sensitive Crimes Unit. The woman told police Simmons fondled her and then punched her in the face, Ciske said. The woman then got out of the car, which was not moving, he said. She reported the incident a short time later, he said. </div> http://www.hoopshype.com Hopefully it doesn`t affect Bobby`s season, still leaves a bad mark though.
Wow, doesn't look like a good situation for Bobby Simmons or the Milwaukee Bucks organization. It's not for sure that he really did it or the lady is framing him just to get some cash, either way a horrible situation for him. Let's hope it doesn't turn into another Kobe type thing. Also that it doesn't make him miss any of the season, which is suppose to be a successful one for Bucks with all their new acquisitions.
so he fondled a girl, big deal. its not like he shot somebody. and to be honest, who here hasn't wanted to fondel a girl?

The fondling is in a grey area; if you get in the car with someone (particularly an athlete who's used to getting what he wants), you should probably anticipate some touching. Hitting someone else is wrong and hitting a woman is completely inexcusable. I'm disappointed to even have him on my Fantasy team.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting lessthanjake:</div><div class="quote_post">so he fondled a girl, big deal. its not like he shot somebody. and to be honest, who here hasn't wanted to fondel a girl?</div> Are you serious? Big deal? It's a huge deal, that's sexual harrasment buddy, and it's very serious. He violated her in a sexual way and should have to pay for it however he is found (probably community service). It is a big deal, that's a female who's personal space was violated. Sexual harrassment is sexual harrasment...whether it is fondling or full out sexual assualt...it's still sexual harrassment.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting lessthanjake:</div><div class="quote_post">so he fondled a girl, big deal. its not like he shot somebody. and to be honest, who here hasn't wanted to fondel a girl?</div> That was not a smart post, my friend. It's ok to mess around a little with your g/f or something, but the situation we're talking about here is not ok in any way, shape or form. No, he didn't shoot someone, but fondling and then hitting a woman is right up there on my list of things that would warrant an ass kicking for the guy who did it. From what I've seen and heard of Bobby, he's a good guy, a team-first player, and someone you'd want to have in your locker room. THIS CHANGES THINGS QUITE A BIT. I absolutely hate to have a "bad guy" on one of my teams. Now, Bobby is not a bad guy on the level of a Randy Moss or someone similar, but this is not good, and he's got a lot of work to do as far as atoning for this situation. You do not mess with a girl if she doesn't want to be messed with, and you sure as hell don't hit a woman. Maybe we don't know the whole story here, but as for right now, Bobby has more of a black eye than that woman he hit. He's got everyone around the league who thought he was a great guy thinking he's nothing more than another loser, spoiled pro athlete who beats women. Bobby, grow up and go back to being the guy that us Milwaukee fans were beginning to love. This is a really bad situation you got yourself into, and you'd better handle it like a man and go back to being a good guy.
It might be another attempt to get money from a rich nba player. I don't think Bobby was thinking right. Maybe he said some booze or something. He should pay a huge fine, community service, and might even sit out some games.
Well, at any given time the absolute most that can ever be asked of anyone is that he do the best possible thing he can. Nothing will "make it right." His image will be forever-tarnished by this. However, in the event he seeks out help and demonstrates that this was an isolated incedent, I feel that he should be forgiven. Damn, though. He's 6'7" and some change, right? I'm a big dude and I couldn't imagine getting punched by him. That must have been horrible for that girl. I would like to see Commissioner Stern take some sort of stand. I'm sure the CBA (which I haven't memorized) disallows him executive jurisdiction in an off-court incedent, but this is far worse than Ron Artest shoving the wrong guy to the ground last season. I hate to see athletes fulfill the sexual predator stereotype.
I would'nt say forever tarnished by this. People are going 2 forget about this once the season starts. No1 remembers about the AI incident with the gun and all. Little things like this wont ruin his life. It was probably a mistake and he's probably regretting it.
I think they are shelved issues after a while, but I think sexual nature tends to lend longevity. Then again, there will be another one soon enough with someone else, and right you are, everyone will forget about this until the day they need some anti-Bobby Simmons ammo. Then it will become a big deal to that person until its purpose is done.
WHAT! Bobby seems like such a good guy, and this is what he does? Come on. We don't need junk like this.
