With last night's triple shooting in Etobicoke, the gun violence in Toronto has totally gotten out of control. You can count on at least one shooting every day and a death every three days. That Aardwick Blood Crew arrest is also questionable as the guys arrested might not even be gang-related at all. My house was broken in last Tuesday and just one cop came and didn't even take fingerprints. I'm pissed at all this. So how do you guys think that the city can do to clean up the streets?
Straight on man. I mean, the Murder Rates have to be at an all time high right now in the city. Number of cops on the streets has increased dramatically since the last year or so, but shootings are still taking place. Just watch your back man, watch it 24/7!
Blair said on CP24 that he'd dispatched a lot more cops on duty at Jane/Finch, but stuff is still happening there by the day. I lived smack in Jane/Finch for a few months before and it seemed fine back then (2002), but now it's just out of control. I also moved from Flemingdon Park last summer, and now it's also a criminal hotspot. The police aren't doing anything serious to help stop the crime, but IMO it's not entirely their fault. Just seems that gangster culture has been taken to the extreme.
Call me crazy, but it's all related to the "Thug" image and being gangstar and what leads to it, those are the major reasons for such actions.
