The Sixers have acquired Royce White and the rights to Furkan Aldemir from the Houston Rockets for future draft considerations, league sources confirmed to CSNPhilly.com on Friday. The trade was initially reported by Yahoo! Sports.

White, who was taken with the 16th overall pick in last year’s draft, did not play for the Rockets last season because of an anxiety disorder. One of the symptoms of the disorder was a fear of flying, which made travel difficult for White.

After last November, White did not practice with the Rockets. White -- a 6-foot-8, 260-pound power forward -- played 16 games for the team’s D-League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, averaging 11.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in a little more than 25 minutes.
