The Philadelphia 76ers managed to get a pair of huge wins over the weekend. Philadelphia pushed their record to 26-28 after their two wins. After beating San Antonio 77-71 on February 11th, the 76ers dominated Minnesota 107-87 on February 12th. The 76ers have the .500 mark in their sights. With 2 more games left until the All-Star Break, it will be interesting to see if the 76ers can get there.

The 76ers dropped the Spurs, the team with the best record in the NBA, 77-71 at the Wells Fargo Center on Friday. Jrue Holiday(notes) was the star of that game, scoring 27 points. The 76ers shot 35.2% from the floor that game. Outside of Holiday, there wasn't a lot of contributions. The bench struggled and only Spencer Hawes(notes) joined Holiday in double figures. However, the defense was strong. They held the Spurs to just 33.3% shooting.

The 76ers, who aren't usually strong on back to back nights, then went to Minnesota and took an easy win. Philadelphia has struggled in Minnesota over the years. That wasn't the case this time. They shot over 51% from the floor. All 5 starters were in double figures. Thaddeus Young(notes) and Lou Williams also scored in double figures off the bench. Evan Turner(notes) had 9 points and 8 rebounds. It was also a 2nd straight night of strong defense, something that has been an issue for this team all year.
