    Sixers Off-Season in Review:<font color="Red">by CourtKing and Silky Smooth</font>

    Key Off-Season Additions
    [IMG]
    Jim Obrien,Head Coach
CommentsA Philly native, signing Obrien was a smart decision. His style of coaching fits Philly basketball to the fullest and he has taken the time to from good relationships with are players.
    Name: Andre Iguodala
    Position: Forward/Guard
    Height/Weight: 6-6/207 LBS.
    College: Arizona
Comments: Andre Iguodala was one of the most athletic players who entered in the NBA draft. Andre is one of those players who can play 3 different positions, which the Philadelphia 76ers tend to like. Andre made the All-Pac10 team honors in just his sophomore year. Iguodala or ?Iggy? posted 10 double-doubles in his college career along with 3 triple doubles.
How Acquired?: 9th Pick of the 2004 NBA Draft

    Name: Brian Skinner
    Position: Center/Power Forward
    Height/Weight: 6-9/265 LBS.
    College: Baylor
Comments: The only big free-agent pick up for the 76ers, Skinner will bring depth to the center and power forward spot. Skinner also has a chance to contend with Samuel Dalembert to be the starter.
    How Acquired?: Free Agency

    Name: Corliss Williamson
    Position: Forward
    Height/Weight: 6-7/245 LBS
    College: Arkansas
Comments: Acquired in the Derrick Coleman trade Williamson should bring depth to the small forward and power forward spot. Williamson also brings playoffs experience to the table, he was with the 2004 World Champion Pistons.
How Acquired?: Sixers trade Derrick Coleman to the Pistons for Corliss Williamson

    Name: Kedrick Brown
    Position: Guard/Forward
    Height/Weight:6-7/222 LBS
    College: Okaloosa-Walton CC FL
Comments: On the athletic side Brown was originally drafted by Jim O?Brien when he was at Boston. There are questions about Brown being over-weight. Kedrick should be a 3rd string or 4th string Guard or Forward.
How Acquired?: In a trade that sent Eric Snow to the Cavs for Brown and Kevin Ollie.

    Name: Kevin Ollie
    Position: Point Guard
    Height/Weight: 6-2/195 LBS.
    College: Uconn
Comments: Ollie who use to be on the Sixers should backup Allen Iverson as point guard. Ollie was 11th last season in the league in assist per turnover ratio. Ollie should get about 8-10 minutes per game.
How Acquired?: In a trade that sent Eric Snow to the Cavs for Kevin Ollie and Kedrick Brown.

    <u>Depth Charts</u>
    PG-Allen Iverson/Kevin Ollie
    SG-Willie Green/ Aaron Mckie/John Salmons
    SF-Glenn Robinson/Andre Iguodala/Corliss?/Kyle Korver
    PF-Kenny Thomas/Brian Skinner/Corliss Willamson(he can also play PF)
    C-Samuel Dalembert/Marc Jackson

    <u>The Starters</u>
    [IMG]
    Allen Iverson
    Position:PG
What to expect/predictions:Allen Iverson had an injury prone season last year, missing a total of 34 games. With the hiring of a new coach Jim Obrien Allen will have the ball in his hands almost all the time, but his assist are likely to go up with scorers like Willie Green in the line up.Predicted Stats:27.7ppg,7.1apg,3.1rpg.

    Willie Green
    Position:SG
What to expect/predictions:W.Green had a suprising season when AI and Robinson were out with injuries,he was one of the few young players who stepped up then.Willie also played very well this summer in the Summer Leauge, and well start at SG this year.Predicted Stats:12.8ppg,3.5rpg,4.1apg.

    Glenn Robinson
    Position:SF
What to expect/predictions:Glenn Robinson also had a dissapointing season last year with injuries,he played ok sometimes throughout the season but we expected more from him, hopefully he has been working this offseason and will acompish his goal of being an All Star,we'll see what happens.Predicted Stats15.3ppg,4.3rpg,1.5apg.

    Kenny Thomas
    Position:PF
What to expect/predictions:Kenny Thomas has proved a lot to people putting up numbers similar to the All Star Jamal Maglories,he is probably one of the most underated players in the game,he also picked up some of th e scoring load when AI and Glenn Robinson were out.Kenny Thomas is a double double threat every nite.Predicted Stats:14.4ppg,9.3rpg,1.6apg.

    Samuel Dalembert
    Position:C
What tp expect/predictions:Another player that has a bright future for the Sixersmhe reminds me of Deke but a lot more athletic and quick,Sammy D should be the starter this year and we all have pretty big expectations for him.Predicted stats:11.4ppg,8.9rpg,1.1apg,3.2bpg.

    <u>The Bench</u>
    [IMG]
    Marc Jackson
What to expect/predictions:Jackson will play a vital role off the Sixers bench,he will have to play C and he should be a solid defender and an ok scorer off the bench.Predicted stat line:7.2ppg,5.5rpg,.8.

    Brian Skinner
What to expect/predictions:Skinner will be back with the Sixers after leaving and going to the Bucs,he should be another solid bigman off the Sixers bench.Predicted stat line:8.1,7.1rpg,.9apg.

    Andre Iguodala
What to expect/predictions:The second AI will bring the Sixers pure energy,he is a very good defender and also has PG skills, and should be a force off the bench.Predicted stat line:10.4ppg,4.8rpg,3.9apg.

    Name: Aaron McKie
    Position: Shooting Guard
    Height/Weight: 6-5/209
    College: Temple
Expect/Predictions : Aaron McKie?s role should be cut down a little this year because he is ageing and with the young players Korver, Brown, Salmons, and Iguodala ready to step in and play some backup SG. Aaron should be a 3-point player off the bench.
    Stats: PPG: 7.4 APG: 2.3 RPG: 3.3

    Name: Kyle Korver
    Position: Small Forward
    Height/Weight: 6-7/210
    College: Creighton
Expect/Predictions : Kyle should be a big part to Jim O?Brien?s offensive style of shooting. Korver, a fan favorite should be one of the many sparks off the bench that the Sixers have:
    Stats: PPG: 5.2 APG: 1.2 RPG: 1.00 3 Point %: 40.3

    Name:: Kevin Ollie
    Position: Point Guard
    Height/Weight 6-2/195
    College:: Uconn
Expect/Predictions : Ollie should be the backup PG for the Sixers, backing up Allen Iverson. Ollie is a nice backup to have for Iverson, he doesn?t need a lot of minutes nor shoots to be effective. If Iverson gets hurt they will probably but Willie Green at PG and start Andre Iguodala at SG.

    Name: John Salmons
    Position:: PG/SG/SF
    Height/Weight:: 6-7/210
    College: Miami
Expect/Predictions: Expect John Salmons to get a lot more playing time in Jim O?Brien?s system. Salmons is a nice spark off the bench and can play up to 3 positions, point guard, shooting guard, and small forward.
    Stats: PPG: 6.2?ASP: 3.1?RPG: 1.9

    Corliss Williamson
    Position: SF/PF
    Height/Weight: 6-7/245
    College:: Arkansas
Expect/Predictions: Expect ?Scoreless? to be Scoreless no more, he will probably be the Sixers backup PF or SF. Corliss was on the 2004 NBA Champ Pistons team, adding experience to the lineup.
    Stats: PPG: 9.2?RPG: 3.6?APG: .9

Others: (said not to be a key part of the Sixers)
    Josh Davis
    Kedrick Brown
    Todd MacCulloch

    [IMG]" target="_blank">http://www.nba.com/media/sixers/sixers_mainhdr.gif"></a>

Overall Prediction: With Allen Iverson and the rest of the Sixers lineup healthy they should make a run at the Atlantic Division Title. If the Sixers can get the 3rd seed in the east and draw a team such as the Cleveland, New York, or even the Magic they should be OK into the 2nd round. Past the 2nd round is as far as I see the Sixers going (unless a #8 seed upsets Miami, and the Pacers then maybe) Predicted Record: 45-37

this is awesome court, i think the scorings r a lil too high for some players like mckie,k squared, corliss, and skinner.i think they all will aveage around 5-6 points because of the depth the sixers have in sf and big mans.wow did i just say the sixers have depth in big mans?lol.I also dont think ai will avegae that many points maybe 24 and more assists definitely cuz he was a sg last year and aveage like 7 and this year he is a pg so the assist shud go up to 8 and willie's scoring shud be around 15 and big dog's scoring shud be down to 15 as well.even tho some of these players shud thrive under jimo's system there r way too many "some" of these players like korver, big dog, etc......and theres gotta be some bench warmers getting 10 minutes a game doing nothing.i think they def have to trade some of the sf's for some guards.eventho it really doesnt matter cuz most of the sf's on our team can play sg.according to ur depth chart, theres 14 players, which means 2 gota be on the injuried list.i think corliss and salmons just because i think they're hte weakest 2 at the sf spot except korver who jimo will keep on the roster cuz of his 3 pointer.anyways good job courtking and silk
