    Sixers to Host "BIG" Workout

    Sixers.com

The Sixers will be hosting a "BIG" workout in Tuesday in which four players (Patrick O'Bryant, Hilton Armstrong, Saer Sene, and Oleksiy Pecherov) over 6'11" will take part in.

To me, picking Sene or Armstrong would just be plain silly because they are exactly the same player as Dalembert. They are both coming from limited playing experience (Armstrong only got one solid year at UConn) and Sene needs some serious work to polish his game.

I also wouldn't want Pecherov because he's another player over 6'10" that can shoot a mid-range jumper. Don't we have C-Webb doing plenty of that already?

Leaving the only guy that would make some sort of sense would be Patrick O'Bryant. He had a great two years at Bradley where he showed an awesome offensive game in the tournament. Though, it's unlikely he'll be on the board at 13.

Yeah I knew about this before. I doubt we'll draft any of those guys.

If the projections are correct, in the mock drafts, we will likely not find any big man at the 13th pick that will satisfy what we need. With that said I would much rather take a guard or small forward. Someone that will be able to start right away for us, and allow us to move Kyle Korver to where he belongs, the bench. Rodney Carney, Randy Foye, or Mardy Collins would be good picks. If Ronnie Brewer is there I wouldn't hesitate at all in taking him. Another guy I wouldn’t I wouldn't mind include Shannon Brown.

I'd love Ronnie Brewer, kid is versatile.

Although the Sixers are in a good spot at No. 13, president and general manager Billy King wants to move higher and admits that it may take a multiplayer trade to do it.

"We're trying. We're really trying," King said yesterday after watching four more draft prospects work out at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. "We're really talking. I'd like to get another pick higher up. I'll have some conversations, and, hopefully, we can get something done."</div>

I have to say that I'm a bit surprised but I'm definitely happy about this. If we can move up just enough to secure Rodney Carney or get a guy like Brandon Roy or Tyrus Thomas that would be awesome. What I don't want to see happen is us trading up to get a guy like Ced Simmons.

I'm surprised because it looked like Billy King was content about staying at 13 and was exploring trades in other areas.

I still don`t know what to believe out of BK, but if this whole "trade up" rumors are true, I`m totally for it, no matter who`s involved.

My guess would be that it would be with the Hawks involving Samuel Dalembert. Billy King seemed like he just finished off a deal with Billy Knight but since the Hawks ownership isn't doing so well he can't make it public. Two most likely deals would be Dalembert + #13 for Al Harrington + #5. We would then go on to pick a center, likely Patrick O'Bryant. Another deal I can see would just be Dalembert straight up for the #5, in which case I can see us using the #5 on a guy like Brandon Roy or Randy Foye and then the #13 on, dare I say it, Hilton Armstrong or Cedric Simmons...
