The 76ers have made their second big trade in less than 24 hours.

On Thursday, the Sixers sent the expiring contract of Glenn "Big Dog" Robinson to the Hornets

    Robinson

Rogersfor another inactive former All-Star ? Jamal Mashburn ? and Rodney Rogers.

Rogers joins Chris Webber, acquired Wednesday from the Kings in a six-player deal, in Philadelphia's retooled frontcourt.

Mashburn has missed the bulk of the past two seasons with knee troubles and is not expected to play again. As such, insurance will cover 80 percent of his remaining contract: $10.1 million next season and the rest of this season's $9.3 million.

Robinson, earning more than $12 million in the final year of his contract, is on the injured list with left ankle tendinitis though he's been unhappy since losing his starting forward spot in training camp.

Rogers can become a free agent at the end of the year. His 3-point shooting fits nicely with Sixers coach Jim O'Brien's offensive philosophy, but Rogers is averaging only 9.3 points and shooting just 27.5 percent from 3-point range.

Robinson averaged 16.6 points per game in his first season in Philadelphia last year ? down from his career average of 20.8. He lost his starting spot at small forward to rookie first-round pick Andre Iguodala in training camp and has played sparingly since.

King is either poinsed to pull off a series of near genius pre-deadline moves or he's setting the team up for a phenomenal flop of talent that doesn't produce or gets injured/stays injured.

The talent coming into Philly, in the form of CWebb and Mash is something to really think about. There could be a damn good team there when you throw in AI. Problem is, what if Mash never plays again and CWebb goes down? Then the 76ers could have major headaches if it were to play out that way.

I agree with hagrid, it seems like King is taking a big risk. Webber has a past full of injuries as well as Mashburn. If they come back strong, a lineup of AI, Webber, and Mash will tear up the east without a question, but that is if they come strong, if they don't he really has a problem on his hands and their contracts are huge too.
