at the end of the first quarter, the sixers are doing pretty well keeping the game close without AI. just hope they can win without him. P.S. i'm very cool
Hmmm.. why wasn't there a preview on this? For some reason Iverson didn't play this game, which triggered a bunch of things. One, Willie, Korver, Thomas, and Salmons came out with a stellar performance for Sixers. Kind of reminds me of last year. The only thing that didn't happen was a good night for Dalembert. He struggled for almost all of the game and struggled to put any points on the board but did manage to rack up a bunch of rebounds for them. At least he's doing something. Just hope this doesn't send him back to O'Brien's doghouse. On the bright side, Willie with a career high thirty two points for the Sixers! I'm just confused why he doesn't play like this when Iverson's here. Oh yeah, and Iverson's absence also triggered tonight's loss. 107-117. The game was actually pretty close up till the last few minutes when Arenas, Dixon, and Jamison spurred the Wizards comeback. Better luck nextime.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Hmmm.. why wasn't there a preview on this?</div> I'll take the blame for that. Time hasn't been on my side lately, and that's pretty much all I have to say. As for the game, well...it was a good game and yet another moral win (sadly). When I look back at that game, I would have first blamed that lost due to our sloppy play in the middle of the fourth quarter that eventually ignited the Wizards and the fans. We couldn't even inbound the ball and that cost us five points from my knowledge. That stretch of the game was the turning point of the game, before this happened I had the sense as if the Wizards fans were holding their breaths and they were looking at a potential loss. But since we got nervous we chocked and coughed up the ball way too many times and handed the Wizards a win. The real downer to that lost was pretty simple and obvious. We didn't have a 4th quarter go-to guy, it?s that simple. Despite the way Green was playing, playing in a back and fourth game can be intimidating, that's why I think he shyed away from being the hero late in the 4th quarter. If we still had Eric Snow for example on the team sharing the backcourt with Aaron Mckie and Marc Jackson in the middle for the entire 4th quarter I think we could have pulled out a win. But the fact is that we longer have Snow and we lost and there?s not much that could be said. Next up is the New Orleans Hornets. Iverson status for this game is unknown and he?s a GTD. But with or without Iverson, I don?t see why we can?t win this game. This is a must win for us because the Celtics are .5 games ahead of us, and after the Hornets we got the Mavericks and Indiana, while the Celtics have a schedule in their favor ahead of them.
