<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Bulls coach Scott Skiles did not believe he and John Paxson delivered contradictory messages Tuesday.

While Paxson urged the players to show their nasty side and stand up for themselves, Skiles suggested they learn the first names of every NBA official and treat the referees respectfully.

?I think the better you know someone, the more license it gives you to get angry with them,? Skiles said. ?If you start dating somebody, you don?t get angry with them the first day. You get angry with them after you known them for a while and something happens.

?I guess that?s all I was trying to intimate there, that our guys need to overall form relationships with these (referees), because we see them all the time. Most of them are good people trying to work hard.?

Injury doesn?t stop Gordon: Not long before hitting the game-winning shot against the Knicks, Ben Gordon left the floor after reinjuring his sore left knee. Gordon ran into a screen set by former teammate Eddy Curry with 3:34 left in overtime.

Gordon went to the ground, grabbed his knee and walked slowly to the bench at the next stoppage of play. He returned less than a minute later when Chris Duhon was ejected.

?I just twisted it a little bit, but it feels all right,? he said after the game.

Gordon scored a season-high 32 points. He set career highs in field goals (14), field-goal attempts (28) and minutes played (46). After burying the game-winner, he retreated to the corner opposite the Bulls? bench and was tripped up by a security guard, but he got to his feet and showed off his release on more time.</div>
