Sure the Bulls were in town to play the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday. But they were still willing to talk about their battles, verbal and otherwise, with the Detroit Pistons on Friday at the United Center.

Contrary to what Richard Hamilton said after Detroit's victory, Bulls coach Scott Skiles denied that he had been -- as Hamilton termed it -- "talking slick'' to the Pistons guard from the bench.

"He does that all the time,'' Hamilton said of Skiles.

"He either made an honest mistake or he's purposely not telling the truth to cover up his poor behavior,'' Skiles said. "I'm not sure which one it was. There were some guys on our bench telling him to just play basketball.

"He was saying worse than that to our guys. I went to the ref and I asked, 'You going to keep letting him talk to our bench like that?' Then [Hamilton] just verbally went off on me. So I would imagine it was the latter of the two. I'd consider the source. I don't ever feel the need to talk to an opposing team's player. Unless they started something with me first, then I'd have no problem saying something back. I've certainly done that before. I think that's beneath my position as a coach to be talking to another team's player.''</div>
