NBA's Slam Dunk Participants:Gerald Green (Boston Celtics)Dwight Howard (Orlando Magic)Tyrus Thomas (Chicago Bulls)Nate Robinson (New York Knicks)Judges:Michael Jordan ( Dunk Contest Winner: 1987, 1988)Dominique Wilkins ( Dunk Contest Winner: 1985, 1990)Julius Erving ( Dunk Contest Winner: 1976)Kobe Bryant ( Dunk Contest Winner: 1997)Vince Carter ( Dunk Contest Winner: 2000)
They need to go with more pure dunkers. Howard and Thomas are big guys. This is a pretty crappy list. It seems that Green will be everyones favorites
Watch us all be surprised and Tyrus Thomas have like the most amazing dunks. Unlikely but I woulden't be surprised.
Let's go, Gerald! G-Money is definitely my early pick to win this thing, but I wouldn't be surprised if any of the other guys pulled off something crazy too. But you could strap Gerald's lunch plate to the top of the rim, and Gerald would keep jumping up and down taking bites out of it. He has more flair in the air than these guys. He's going to do something just crazy.
Tyrus Thomas can jump high as hell...thats it. If Mike Miller doesn't go to thr 3 point shootout...im going to freakout.Rudy Gay got robbed....only explanation is maybe they said since the Grizzlies had one last year, let another team have a chance....Rudy Gay will for sure get in next year.
I dont think its going to be boring with Green and Dwight Howard(I dont care what people say, Dwight Howard is going to be great). Lil "5000 dunk attempts" Nate will suck and Ty Thomas might do some okay stuff.
Nate will probably win it agains since all the judges want to suck his ****But Gerald Green will be crazy and will probably deserve to winTyrus and Dwight will be impressive, but as pointed out, are too big to win.
Tyrus Thomas over Rudy Gay is very questionable. This isn't going to be that good....it doesn't excite me when I see Nate finally make a dunk after 3000 attempts. Dwight has a chance of doing well, but with a big man, it's questionable how well he will do. Tyrus Thomas will be last year's Hakim Warrik. Gerald Green is the only guy that has me excited for this...Oh well...
The problem with Nate is that because of his size, he can only do so much, which I think will hurt him this year. But if he does make something crazy, no doubt the judges will slurp his cock a bit.
I think the whole big man thing is overblown....big men can do crazy dunks too...btw Warrick did pretty good last year.DH12 is going to be atleast 2nd place.
I think Tyrus Thomas could suprise some people. He can jump out of the building, but it's his chance to show us his creativity..I do think Iggy, Josh Smith, or Rudy Gay are better dunkers, and would probably fare better in the contest than Tyrus..but I still think it'll be interesting seeing what these guys can do.
Iggy was probably last. I remember him saying that he would not participate in this dunk contest b/c of the bullsh** that happened last year. A bit stubborn, but I don't blame him. The judges were garbage last year.Wouldnt you f*cking lower his score after seeing Robinson attempt the same ass dunk 30 freaking times?

He is 6'9, Josh Smith is 6'9, he wasn't boring. Thomas is so athletic. I was actually pleasantly suprised by them selecting him.

I don't see Robinson winning it again. I doubt the judges will be as nice this time. But I would like to see Gerald Green Dunk. He's had some nice dunks and he could end up on top. I don't really see Dwight Howard being a big surprise, doubt he'll show something like Amare but he may have something up his sleeve. Haven't seen Tyrus play much. But he's athletic and may pull off some nice dunks. But I would like to see a dunk contest with just high flyers and more than 4 contestants. Like vince Carter, Kobe Bryant, Steve Francis, Jason Richardson, Josh Smith, Baron Davis and etc.
Gerald Green will run away with this. He is by far the most talented out of teh group when it comes to dunking, not too mention that dunking is oen of teh few things that Rivers allows Green to do.
