Interesting thing I heard watching Roseanne the other day. Does anyone know if it's true? Dan (on the show) went to lay down and Roseanne's mother said something like "don't sleep on your left side, it's bad for your heart." WTF? Is that true?
Hah, yeah, I heard something about this too in my Biology class last year. It's somewhat true I think, but obviously nothing serious enough to worry about.
I sleep on the left sometimes, it's almost half and half. It's wierd though, I wonder what the problem is.
Pretty sure it's that most of your body organs and heart, like they said in the show are on your left side, but yeah it doesn't make much sense.
I sleep on my left side sometimes. Fortunately, I move my sleeping position about every five minutes, so at least I don't get anything too bad.
Every time i get a stomach ache, I lay on my left side and it goes away... I've told other people to do it to and they said it works for them lol.
if we worried about everything that was bad for our heart we wouldnt be able to live..i dont even pay attention to how i sleep
I think it has to do with blood pressure and organs in your body. Basically it's the same mindset as when you raise your leg above your heart to get proper flow to it and so forth. I highly doubt that it's going to take years off your life, though.
I think this is bullsh** like the theory moms tell their kids. "If you make faces then they will get stuck that way". This is just retarded. Even if you sleep on your left side, how would it effect your heart? Your arm and ribcage would be in the way anyway.

It's like standing on your head, the blood flows to your head easier since your head is now BELOW the heart, so you get a blood rush. And it sucks.

It's really annoying, so I sleep on my right side.
