<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Heat guard Dwyane Wade jokes that his wife 'looked at me like, `Damn, again?' '' last week when he visited AmericanAirlines Arena for a late-night shooting session.

But late-night workouts have become a Heat staple of sorts for several players during this postseason.

When others are sleeping, Shaquille O'Neal has gone to the arena to shoot free throws several times during the playoffs, including Saturday. (It didn't help -- he shot 2 for 12 Sunday.) Other nights throughout the season, he has gone to one of his 24 Hour Fitness clubs to work out late at night.

Why doesn't he do it at home? ''We don't have all the equipment at home,'' said his wife, Shaunie.

Also, Udonis Haslem has gone to the arena to work on his jump shot several nights this postseason, including Saturday.

Wade worked out Saturday night with a twist: While shooting free throws, he had his cousin stand nearby to try to distract him.

''He was standing there in my ear, telling me I'm not that good, just all that stuff that cousins are supposed to do,'' Wade said. ``That's what I was thinking about every time I stepped to the free-throw line [Sunday] was him, his face, actually right there underneath the basket in my ear telling me I wasn't that good. That was my edge, and I look for another one in the next game.''

Wade set a Finals record by making 21 free throws (in 25 attempts) in Game 5.</div>

Good stuff. You have to appreciate the team's dedication. It's been paying off for them all post season long.

The Pat Riley effect, we knokw Haslem, Wade, and Shaq were all workers, but Pat has really gotten through to this team and motivated them to the top.
