great article. I too believe Malone deserves to win. he definately didnt go to the lakers and just watch Kobe and shq dominate another season he helped them dominate. by hitting big shots. knocking point gaurds down with bows. and all out playing malone style. I want him to win in a way because a long career as he has had would be devastating for him to lose after coming this far. but i'm still rooting for the Pistons in 6. Go Big Ben.
Malone deserves to win in a sense that he had a spectacular career, and a spectacular career needs a championship to its equation, but I also think he doesn't deserve it because he is trying to obtain it through the cheapest way possible. You think the Lakers would of accepted him if he didn't have that status and a valid reason?
I still have mixed feelings about it, I want Malone to win the championship but I don't want the Lakers to win. I guess I won't be as mad if the Lakers win, since Malone is on there. But I am rooting for the Pistons, in 6 games, maybe Tayshaun Prince can win a NBA Championship, since he is the greatest Kentucky Wildcat never to win a NCAA Championship.
I'd like to see Malone get a ring, he deserves one. But I don't like the way he's gone about trying to obtain one, leeching onto the Lakers. A ring would of ment a lot to Malone had he got in Utah, but he is only a key player to the Lakers and he wouldn't of done as much to help obtain it. He's tried his best to help out, and done a good job of it, but the Lakers of now are Kobe and Shaq's team, not Stockton and Malones' Jazz of a few seasons back.
