Raptors' big men urged to hit 'the trenches' "Last time I checked," said Mitchell, invoking one of his pet phrases, "you can have all those interchangeable parts but you saw (Sunday), when it's time to win the game, down in the trenches, they put their best player on the box and he scored seven points in overtime."
"They" were the Boston Celtics and the best player was Kevin Garnett and, indeed, he did go in the low post and abuse the Raptors in the five-minute extra session. It was a stretch that proves Mitchell's point.
"You can shoot all the jump shots you want, but when the game is on the line, the ball has to go inside and then if you're going to shoot jump shots, it's got to come out. It has to be inside-out," the coach said.
"When it gets down to the end of the game, you've got a much better chance going to the free-throw line when you get down there on that box than hoping for a referee to call a foul on a jump shot." www.thestar.com/Sports/article/273854

Has KG single handedly changed the make-up of what it takes in a frontcourt to win the East?
How big of a worry is this for the Raps and how much can be solved through Chris getting into game shape?
Also, how about the fact that Smitch is concerned over grunt work yet Garbo has been nailed to the bench?

I really don't get how KG changed it so much. Almost everyone in the East or atleast the Atlantic has that either defensive or offensive threat as well while Boston is lacking at the point gaurd position.
Gotta heighten your advantages.
As for Bosh, he definately has to get in game shape soon.
