QUOTE

The Hawks' months-long quest for an elusive road victory will have to wait another few days at least, after Saturday night's 105-96 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks at Bradley Center.
Their losing streak away from Philips Arena now stands at 17 games. They're 0-4 on the road this season and haven't won since defeating the Los Angeles Clippers 99-93 on Valentine's Day. The Hawks (3-6) couldn't muster the energy to stay with the Bucks for the entire 48 minutes, a game that came less than 24 hours after Friday night's grueling 58-minute, double-overtime home loss to Seattle.
They gutted out the final 24 minutes, got a career-high 38 points from Josh Smith, rallied from a 15-point deficit and still couldn't push the right buttons long enough to snap their road skid.
"It's frustrating because we did everything we could to get back into the game, and it wasn't enough," said Smith, who tied Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins for fifth on the Hawks' career blocked shots list with three more Saturday night. "We got ourselves back into it after trailing by what [15 points], and then we get to the final minute or so and we couldn't finish the job. That hurts."

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Good to see Smith scoring points and playing hard even after that double OT. A positive you can take away from this game is the tough play from Smith and his willingness to come out and put the team on his back. He is showing glimpses of becoming the leader of this team, which is something Mike Woodson should demand from Smith.
