Re: Smush Isn't Happy With Phil Jackson <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>6th April, 2007 - 5:04 amL.A. Times - Lakers guard Smush Parker lashed out at Coach Phil Jackson on Thursday after being benched for the entire fourth quarter of Wednesday night's 90-82 loss to the Clippers. Jackson said he thought Parker looked fatigued and was not applying sufficient defensive pressure. Asked whether he would be ready to play in tonight's game against the SuperSonics in Seattle, Parker said, "I was ready to play [Wednesday] night. I wanted to play [Wednesday] night. I didn't appreciate being benched." Facing reporters at the team's El Segundo training facility after practice and before heading to the airport for the team's flight to Seattle, Parker was asked what he thought he had to do to get back on the court. "I feel fine. I felt I did everything I need to do to be out there. I gave up trying to read that man a long time ago," he said, referring to Jackson. Jackson, who became a Hall of Fame coach Monday, said he and Parker had spoken earlier Thursday. "He talked, I listened," Parker said. "That's usually how it goes. He just asked me if I got my energy back. I was like, 'Energy? I never lost it.'" [READ]</div>Like I've said in the past I like the guy but his attitude problems turn me off. Phil knows what he is doing and if Smush wants to play in the 4th quarter, maybe he should start to play some actual defense instead of gambling on plays 24/7.
Re: Smush Isn't Happy With Phil Jackson What is wrong with this kid? I mean, your being coached by arguably the greatest coach of all-time, who by the way has nine championship rings... I think he knows what he's doing Smush!Damn, ever since you posted his MySpace on this board... I knew he had some sort of ego problem.
Re: Smush Isn't Happy With Phil Jackson Phil Jackson is arguebely the best coach to ever live and Smush Parker, one of the most inconsistent PG's in the NBA is bashing him? Smush Parker better get used to the bench, I believe LA is bringing in a new true PG to take smush's place in the starting lineup. Parker can enjoy his time on another team, this is great for the lakers
Re: Smush Isn't Happy With Phil Jackson Everyone's always talking about how Parker's never gotten a break with a full-term contract in the NBA, and it's just one giant f*cking sob story.... Well I never really bought it, I don't really care. And I think Parker's acting like a damned douchebag towards one of the best coach's in the game. But on another note, is it me? Or has Phil Jackson seemed progressively unlikable or not as cool of a guy, especially in the past 2 years or so? I've read some sneaky, sarcastic comments from him, to incite opponents for no other reason than to get a rise out of them and stuff... And it just seems lame for someone as good as he is, to resort to that kind of bullsh**. Though it could just be me.
Re: Smush Isn't Happy With Phil Jackson Smush, 22 minutes, 3 points, 3 assists, 1 reboundFarmar 11 minutes, 3 points, 2 assists, 1 reboundFarmar has almost identical stats to Smush, but yet only played half the minutes Smush did. :no3:
Re: Smush Isn't Happy With Phil Jackson All of Farmar's stats also came at a much more crucial point that Smush's. Defensively Jordan's on another level than Smush, and tonight was another example of that. Farmar coming in was the turning point of tonight's game.I can't wait to see what Smush has to say about tonight's game. The Lakers are playing terribly in a crucial game for their playoff chances, Smush has 3 points and has been repeatedly broken down defensively. Farmar comes in, plays tough D, runs the offense well, Lakers win.

Re: Smush Isn't Happy With Phil Jackson Smush did play like crap then when Jordan came in he hit a three and Cook hit 2 and they got back in the game Jordan also played well defensively something we all know Smush lacks.
