The big three game series against Philly begins tonight with Johan on the mound. Let's give Joe Blanton a nice, rough welcome to the NL East.

This is one of those games that they brought Santana in for. He's gotta step up.

    Lets go Marlins!

It's funny, the team beats mine 2 times in the World Series, but I hate them less than the Phils and Mets.

I feel so sick to my stomach right now. Tonight shows how important Wagner is.

Anybody else think Santana should have been left in for the 9th? I know it's easy to say in hindsight, but it would not have killed him to throw 20 more pitches.

How many pitches did he throw before? Was he economical, and having easy innings?

I'd rather root for the Phillies myself (of the 3 teams, Mets/Marlins...).

    105 pitches, I think.

The guys brought up an interesting stat tonight though. It was something like Wagner has thrown 100+ pitches in the 8th inning with a chance to go into the 9th for a complete game a total of 88 times. However, he's only actually gone on to pitch in the 9th one of those 88 times. It was something along those lines.
