This whole daily ESPN barrage of Jonny Football has nauseated me to no avail! Manziel ran for his life and capitalized on a ton of broken plays in a conference that had never seen their type of football. I fully expect the Manziel hysteria to end this year when SEC defenses know what they're dealing with this go around. As a Duck, I'm elated this kid never walked out of the tunnel to Auzten because this type of kid could put a wrench into all the momentum and WTD attitude we have here. What a huge distraction and with the departing of Chip it would be a zoo in Eugene right now! Having Marcus brings a sense of calm to a program on the tipping point to explode into the national championship limelight yet again. The best part is Marcus can handle the fame and carry the Ducks to where we all know we are going! We couldn't have found a better kid to do this. He's got every NFL tool already, he's only developing vocal leadership and honestly I hope he's a slow learn in this venue, so he'll stick around another year. Top programs can often have some serious character issues to be at the level that wins it all. This class of DUCKS makes you proud!
Tebow was the king of broken plays, too, and Cam Newton dominated the SEC. It's a vanilla conference that dominates because it has the best players, not the best schemes.
Can you imagine the Lyles issues, Manziel and Chip leaving all in one summer? It would be NUTS!! That said Manziel wouldn't have won the Heisman at Oregon so I guess this is a mute point!
I'm glad we don't have Johnny Ego. Just another example of the NCAA protecting the SEC. A&M looks like shit against Rice right now. They're going to get dominated against the power houses.
