It was more fun than I imagined. Here are some mental notes I took: 1. Brewer is way better finishing around the basket. He still has major shooting troubles, but he's taking steps in the right direction. 2. Al didn't try, but it was good that he was healthy enough to play. 3. Foye looks really good on both sides of the floor. I can see him making a big step up this year. 4. McCants is still a ballhog. He made some nice shots, but I think he made 2 maybe 3 passes the entire game. I'm hoping that the Wolves can use him as a scoring punch off the bench. 5. Carney looked surprisingly good. He has a sweeter stroke than I expected him to. I hope we can get him some minutes this season. 6. Bassy was pretty invisible, but you could see his leadership by the way the team played when he was running the offense. 7. Love is out of shape. I got to see 3 of those amazing outlet passes and he was making some tough shots and getting some tough rebounds. The only problem is he was sooo sluggish getting up and down the floor. 8. Smith looked pretty good too. He was making big shots on offense, but his defense really wasn't there today. 9. Ollie did virtually nothing. He was on the court, but it was tough to tell. When he had the ball, he either turned it over, passed it to nothing, or missed a shot. 10.Miller can shoot like a mad man. But we knew that already. All in all, I don't expect too much as a collective unit, but I'm impressed with the individual players are starting to look pretty good.
I'm curious to see how Love will turn out... Troubling to still hear that about McCants too. Shouldn't be a big deal though.
Wolves will be an exciting team to watch during the season. I hope Miller dose good. Great to see that you had a great time tim.
