I have a good friend who is a Skins fan and he insists that Skins v Cowboys is the greatest rivarly in the NFL. I can't agree at all...Bears v Packers is more storied, if not underplayed the last few years since it hasn't been too competitive. Fortunately for the Redskins/Cowboys rivalry, both teams have sucked the last 5 years or so, so there is still a good competition and the hometown fans can still care about it.
The Bears/Packers rivalry is starting to become so one-sided since Favre is aging and his era is soon to be over. Now the only question is how many points can they score against the Packers?
A great article on the Packers/Bears rivalry... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/6673649 <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Bears/Packers rivalry is starting to become so one-sided since Favre is aging and his era is soon to be over.</div> Favre is 21-7 against the Bears in his career. Yeah, he's 1-3 in his last four games against them, but all of those games have been close. I don't expect a Bears sweep this year. Hell, whenever the Packers play the Bears the games are close...regardless of record. Even in 1985 when the Bears were 15-1, the abysmal Green Bay Packers played the Bears as well as anyone that year.
That's the problem with the Pack and Bears they have hardly ever been good at the same time. Except the last 2 years I would alomost have to say one of the best is Vikings and Packers as they had many games with 1'st place on the line. Look at their lifetime record with each other and it's probably the closest

Pack. But, it's also tough to argue against Dallas VS. Washington being the most popular or most famous rivalry in NFL history.
I say Dallas/Washington is a bigger Media Rivalry, its more promoted than say the Packers/Bears, or Browns/Ravens.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (FLORIDA PACKER)</div><div class='quotemain'>I say Dallas/Washington is a bigger Media Rivalry, its more promoted than say the Packers/Bears, or Browns/Ravens.</div> I'll agree with you on that.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The classic Manning vs Brady.</div> That won't be a rivalry until Manning actually notches a win. Right now it's just a one-sided ass whipping.
Well Manning got his one last year but it was a meaningless one. He'll have to fo it when it counts. Anyone doesn't think the Pack Vikings is a good one should read 'Cold Wars" which contains all the info and stories on the 40+ years of the border battle
