Do you think Mullin is just not tipping his hand? Or do you think there was no deal and once again Peter Vecsey from NY is just stirring up rumors to get the fans excited? I actually liked the Mohammed deal. I guess we will have to see what Memphis and Indiana offer. I think this thing is so hilarious because Damp had $8m guaranteed money, opted out, now all the lucrative options are played out. The only way he can get his money is if there is a sign and trade since Atlanta questioned his motivation and work ethic. haha. Go figure! What happens if Mullin says there are no good offers out there? What is Damp going to do then? Sign a 2 year deal with a player or team option? Maybe try his luck next year?
All good points. Mullin definitely doesn't discuss trades, and Vecsey is an idiot (I'll eat my words if the trade goes through, but I'll still think he's an idiot). Damp's decision is starting to look dicey, but I think someone will pay for his skills. The most interesting point I've seen is that Fegan is the agent for Damp, JRich, and Murph (and Arenas?). Do we help ourselves re-sign JR and TM later if we help Damp out now? Probably not, but I'd hate to have the agent steer them away from us out of spite. But Damp isn't part of the Warriors future, so I don't think they want him back, even for cheap. Or maybe, now that the deal is close, Mully is trying to squeeze NY (or another team) for a slightly better deal? We'll find out soon.

I love the way Mullin does business. I might not agree with his decision making at times but he is pretty good and keeping things on the DL.
I hope the NY trade falls through. They really have nothing to offer us now. I think the Portland deal is much better than the New York deal because Nazr has never really produced and is injury prone. Davis is old but he can bang in the paint and comes off the books next year. We need a wing player now. We have JRich, Dunleavy and Pietrus. Not only that but Pietrus is hurt and who knows when he comes back. If we get Bender or someone awesome, I'm throwing a party in my next post and everyone is invited except AllNet.

lol, sorry I couldn't jump in earlier to add in on that AllNet conversation. I had to catch a game tonight. The Portland deal is all aright now that I think about it in terms of a bigger getting certain contracts match up now for trades or just to give us depth at the 5 and 1 spots (something we needed and have fulfilled a whole lot better). We get a small forward that can compete I think the W's can hang in this year and hopefully get near or around .500.
