What do you guys think? A couple of general observations -- the NBA seems to have fallen out of love with imports. Anomaly or a long term reconsideration? I don't know. It certainly doesn't help the NBA push to get more global. Also, the paucity of trades seems to me to confirm what Jay Billick said (I think I incorrectly attributed it to Chris Broussard last night) that there just wasn't much difference in this draft 2-40.

    1. Hornets -- Anthony Davis. No brainer. The Unibrower (c) will be the cornerstone of that franchise. Inside, outside, upside down, offense, defense -- a complete package.

    2. Bobcats -- Michael Kidd-Gilcrest was known to be a likely lottery pick but I didn't think he's go that high. Charlotte needs defense for sure but you still have to score more points than the other team.

    3. Wizards -- Bradley Beal Another guy who I thought would drop further. A reputed sharpshooter who had a poor shooting season in a one and done college career.

    4. Cavs -- Dion Waiters -- Don't know much about him to be honest. Had a few nice clips in the highlight reel. but as much as I respect Syracuse, they were an NIT team and Waiters didn't start. Another confusing pick to me.

    5. Kings -- Thomas Robinson. Good pick. Sac was lucky he dropped to them. Coached by one of the greats, solid on both sides of the floor, strong rebounder and pretty darn good scorer. might have to hit the weight room a little bit but that's nothing unusual.

    6. Blazers -- Damian Lillard -- another guy I don't know much about. From what I read he is one of those guys who can awe on one possession and fail on the next. But he has long range, that's for sure. Is he destined to be an undersized 2 in the NBA or will he be a tweener guard?

    7. GSW -- Harrison Barnes. A guy I had pegged as a top 5 dropped slightly. Not a scoring machine but the guy can score from just about anywhere on the floor. The Warriors got one of the most versatile players in the draft not named Anthony Davis.

    8. Raptors -- Terrence Ross? Again, saw a few nice clips but who dat? Toronto must see something to develop but maybe they had trouble converting Div I scoring to the metric system.

    9. Pistons -- Andre Drummond. Once again, who dat? I'll take smarts, skills and efficiency over jump out of the gym athleticism every time.

    10. Hornets -- Austin Rivers. I'm sure Dickey V rubbed one out that his guy went top 10. I like his game and respect his dad very much, but I did feel compelled to get in the Vitale Dookie comment.

    11. Blazers -- Meyers Leonard. I watch Illinois games whenever I can and the kid has game. Another big who is going to hit the weights but he is going to have a nice career.

    12. Rockets -- Jeremy Lamb. I thought he'd go higher but think UConn's surprising drop last season cost him some stock value.

    13. Suns -- Kendall Marshall. Insurance against a Steve Nash departure but what a downgrade.

    14. Bucks -- John Henson. I watched a number of UNC games last season and couldn't recall who he was until I say the highlight tape.

    15. Sixers -- Moe Harkless. Uninspiring player from an uninspired team. Really?

    16. Rockets -- Royce White. Houston got an absolute steal at this slot if they get him with a shooting coach.

    17. Mavs (Cleveland) -- Tyler Zeller. Another guy who should have gone higher. Big guys with a good skill set don't come out every draft. There are several teams I think could have used him rather than a questionable shooting guard or small forward.

    18. Rockets -- Terrence Jones. Inside game and outside and a big man who can handle putting the ball on the floor. Great pick. Seems strong but is he a 4/5 tweener?

    19. Magic -- Andrew Nicholson. I've heard good things about him but I have to say he's another guy I've seen play only in the 10 second draft night clip.

    20. Nugets -- Evan Fourneir. See pick 19 comments. Notable for being a Euro guy in a draft concentrated on NCAA Div I picks.

    21. Celtics -- Jared Sullinger. Ohio State is a football school. Enough said other than the old maxim that you can't teach size. We'll see. I like the 22 pick better.

    22. Celtics -- Fab Melo. The Brazilian definitely holds the honor of having the coolest name in the draft. Can't argue picking a 7 footer who seems to move well.

    23. Hawks -- John Jenkins. Sharp shooter. Wouldn't have minded a bit if he had happened to drop to 29.

    24. Cavs (Mavs) -- Jared Cunningham. Another player you want to put on a pedestal one play and face palm the next play. Wildly inconsistent.

    25. Grizzlies -- Tony Wroten. The Griz will move back to Vancouver before he ever pans out to be an NBA starter. Memphis may hold the current distinction of having the worst front office in the league.

    26. Pacers -- Miles Plumee. A great kid from a great program with a good skill set but if you ever want to shut Dick Vitale up ask him how many of Coach K's players have NBA rings.

    27. Heat (Sixers) -- Arnett Moultrie. I'll go beyond who dat and add say wha?

    28. OKC -- Perry Jones. Word is he's got to toughen up and learn to bang but is otherwise a solid player.

    29. Bulls -- Marquis Teague. As I've posted elsewhere this pick worries me. Are the Bulls drafting a backup point rather than filling a need? Did they consider him BPA? Or are they worried about Derrick Rose's recovery? As they say in the Star Wars movies "I've got a bad feeling about this."

    30. GSW -- Festus Ezili. Other than having the second coolest name in the draft I don't know much about him other than he's big.
