Now that he’s crapped out on his pitching target does he go for a lesser one that will still require too prosopects like montas, Quintana etc or go for a big hitter like Soto as we still need another bat. I’m surprised judges back hasn’t given out carrying this team all season. His price tag if the yanks are listening is 40 mill per year which I don’t see them doing and see him leaving after the season. And if that happens I hope cashman leaves with him!

I kinda saw the acquisition of Benintendi as a sign that the Yanx have moved on from Soto...we're already stacked in OFers as it is now. Of course signing Soto could/would be insurance on the possibility of losing Judge to free agency this off season. And Soto would be under team control for the rest of this season as well as 2023 and 2024. (He won't become a FA till 2025 and will be relatively cheap as far as yearly salary until then)

Personally, I doubt the Yanx cough up the prospects it would take to land Soto, and considering the many endorsement/marketing deals Judge would garner in NY in addition to his new salary, I believe he will resign with the Yanx.

...but yeah, the Yanx should not have played poker with Judge this past off season and instead, should have locked him up for the rest of his career. But now Judge will have a lot of suitors this off season and will now cost the Yanx a lot more money to keep him than it would have just a few months ago.

Some you win; some you lose. If Judge walks……Cashman & his bumbling management team should be fired.

Soto isn’t happening and it shouldn’t happen. We don’t need another HR or bust hitter, which is what Soto has turned into and would only become worse here at Yankee Stadium.

Judge must be resigned at all costs, $35M, $40M, $50M, whatever. He’s the face of the franchise and cannot be allowed to leave as the only Compensation we’d get for him is a pick between rounds 2 & 3.

Montas is the only pitcher worthwhile to acquire honestly. Cashman got caught asleep at the wheel with his pants down in regards to Castillo. There’s no way the M’s should’ve gotten him. I’m even more perplexed as to why the M’s would even get him when we all know that they are just gonna use him at the deadline next year, especially if he continues his current trajectory.

As of right now, this team isn’t making it to the World Series. They cannot compete with the Astros and it’s not even close. Cole isn’t an ace. He’s a headcase that implodes the second something doesn’t go his way. Cortes is throwing more innings than he ever has so he could be worn out by the time we get to the playoffs. German is beyond a question mark. Severino is likely done. Taillon can’t handle the Astros lineup as he gives up a lot of basehits, which against lesser teams he’s able to maneuver around but against the Astros plays into their favor, and Monty is Monty. The Astros just are a better team than us as they have team players, not me first players. We gotta get rid of Donaldson (am I the only one that gets pissed off when announcers suck him off for his defense when his defense really isn’t any better to me than Gio’s?), Gallo (obviously he should’ve been DFA’d by now but Cashman and BaBoone refuse to get him outta here), Hicks is heating up, but he’s got a lot of years left and is always hurt. I just don’t see how this team can honestly compete with the Astros. They may not even compete with whomever they have to play first in the playoffs. Cashman waited too long and it allowed the M’s to steal Castillo. Now he has to overpay for Mantos unless he does nothing with is typically his M.O.
