What can be done to help the Suns come out of their slump? I don't think this is something that the Suns can dig themselves out of; I think it's something deeper than that. Firstly, they need to find a consistent rotation. Developing an identity at center would help the most in doing that I think. Start Scott Williams and put Jahidi as a backup. Afterall, the trade so far has been all for naught as the minutes for White have been really inconsistent. He only had 8 minutes last night and has proven that when given minutes he can produce good rebounding numbers. Then move Voskhul to backup Amare. Either that or do it vice versa where Voskuhl backs up Williams because he would get more minutes there and getting minutes for Voskuhl is more important than minutes for White who would then come in for Amare. Next, make a final decision with Johnson and Penny. If they keep getting interchanged between starting and coming off the bench they will never develop a sense of security on the court. JJ's confidence gets shaken easily enough as it is, the team doesn't need him to keep worrying about keeping his starting job. Job security usually leads to less mistakes because a player can play more in his comfort zone. Those are the big things the Suns need to do in the rotation. The next biggest thing that needs to be done is finding a way for Marion to get out of his funk. Last night he played 43 minutes and only took 11 shots. That just isn't going to do it and it's happened too much during the season. Find ways to get him open, set screen and rolls with him and Marbury. Marbury always seems to find open guys when they run a screen and roll. It will also give Marion a chance to attack the basket and finally learn how to draw some fouls. As of right now he is averaging season lows in every category if his rookie year is excluded. For Amare, they need to learn to stop ignoring him. He can be so much better if the Suns actually knew how to utilize him during a game. The only consitent bright spot has been Marbury. There has not been one game this year where he didn't help the team greatly in atleast one aspect of the game. People on the team need to learn how to follow his example.
