Second round in the playoffs? I think he only cares about winning and if we are going to win; we need Aldridge. Do you guys think we have enough to make it to the next round in the next two seasons?

I think Dame is a star. I think we need a third wheel. Dame and LMA are a great one/two punch. We need that third guy. Batum just isn't him. Nic is a great glue guy, he fills up the stat sheet, but he can't be counted on to score.

We finally have a bench. Mo is going to be huge for us. If he can put up 15 a night, that would be huge. Wright hasn't really been able to play so we don't know what we have yet with him, but I think he's going to be a nice pickup.

We need that third wheel. Who can we get?

But ya, I think second round would be huge. We can offer LMA the most money, and he's not a guy who brings in huge endorsements. He needs that extra cash.

I think getting that third player; we must trade batum. Probably batum, Leonard and Barton. Even then; the player we could get back maybe not enough to contend.

We need to rename Drexler Drive at the Moda Center to Aldridge Alley.

And a parade. Everyone loves them.

    And a max contract.

I keep going back to Danny Granger. I picture him in a Glen Rice type of role that he had with the Lakers. Obviously Dame and Aldridge aren't on the same level as Shaq and Kobe, but Rice came in as that third wheel shooter and helped get them their first title. I think Granger would at least help us get to the second round.

He's in the last year of his deal, he's making 14 million, and he's coming off an injury. It would be a risk, but I think he would provide the extra scoring that we need. He's really the only former All-Star that's out there right now. Brooklyn gobbled up all the old, broken down, old stars last summer. Someone like Paul Pierce would have been perfect as a third star for us.

Granger could be had, the question is how much Indy would want. They might just use him as an expiring. I was thinking an offer of Matthews, Leonard, Claver wouldn't be too bad. I don't think Granger is worth Batum.

If you get Granger, you run with Batum at the two.

    Lillard/Mo
    Batum/Barton
    Granger/Wright
    Aldridge/Robinson
    Lopez/Freeland

    A max deal.

I think he is fine with the core of Dame, Batum, and him.

Maybe down the road we can move Leonard, Matthews, and others to get a legit defensive big to put alongside him.

I'm totally fine with granger. I actually think his defense would be stellar. He's not the greatest shooter; but I remember him being able to get to the line a lot.

The worry about Aldridge leaving is a media creation. He has never shown such ambition.

no way I'd take a chance on Granger unless we can get him for a pittance, just too many injuries

Nic Batum to step up and be that third guy.

Nic has to stop being so passive and attack more.

His knee is shot. Dude was supposed to be completely cleared, but is facing recurring issues in camp with that knee.

But I think getting him would only take Matthews and other players to make salaries match. I don't think we need to give up too much for him. Which is why I like the idea.

Yes there is risk, but the reward is high if it pans out.

Can't get him for a pittance because of his contract. It has to match up.

Wes, Leonard, and Claver would work though.

I think we need a future 1st coming back with Granger. I'm NOT in favor of trading for Granger - but if we got a future 1st I would consider it. Not this year's pick - maybe something 3 years down the road.

I think it just depends on how desperate they are to trade him. He's an expiring, so they can be picky.
