Now that DA's going to be out 2-4 weeks with that thigh contusion, who's gonna take over the backup point position?

Talk about being bit by the injury bug....

Well Kidd is obviously going to play a lot more minutes which sucks.

I'm guessing a 15 day contract is going to get dished out soon, probably Hite.

There are several issues in play here:

    1) As I understand it,signing anyone other than rookie (and that aint gonna happen) means going over the luxury tax unless the Nets dump Malik Allen before January 10 or trade him.

    2) Eddie Gill is in D-League training camp, I believe. Robert Hite has signed a deal with a Turkish team.

    3) They have to do something by tomorrow night, which would seem to militate for Gill.

We play the Celtics twice, and lose two players. Screw them.

I'm pretty stoked about this. Obviously I don't want players to get hurt, but I also want the supplemental guys to be forced to step up and contribute, and I like the thought of Coach Frank being forced to think outside the box a little bit. If you're going to have a rash of injuries, it should be at the beginning of the season, and hopefully none of them will be too serious--exactly what we have here. If the Nets are going to go far this year, they have to grow up in a hurry, and everyone has to show their true quality, and that includes the coach. At this point, the wins and losses aren't as important as professional development. It's times like these when a team either comes together, or falls apart. Which story will they tell about the 2007-08 Nets when all is said and done? Hopefully they don't just go out and sign someone like Gary Payton. What a waste that would be.

Nuggets lost Nene after playing the Celtics too. Obviously the Celtics have Q working for them.

When is Marcus Williams coming back?! And I say we sign Jared Jordan n see what he's got. He was cut by the Knicks but I had a few chances to see he play at Marist. This kid is an absolute beast i don't care what anybody says. I also read about him awhile ago and as a kid he grew up in a real ghetto neighborhood and when he was like 10 he was playin againsthigh school kids nyear olds and people would laugh at him but the ppl who knew him respected him. Whoever laughed at him would try to guard him n Jordan would have him on the ground after breaking his ankles. I'll se if I can find the actual article on him but he is extremely talented.

this isn't the exact story I heard but READ THIS IT'S REALLY GOOD http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writ...4/jared.jordan/

He's thought of to be the next John Stockton or Avery Johnson. He led the nation in assists twice on Marist! I mean comeon Marist isn't a UNC or Duke type of team, they don't knock down all of their shots but thats just how good this kid is.

Nice to see Gill get a shot. We should have had an Jared Jordan or a Mustafa Shakur waiting in the D-League though.

Let Collins play point guard, I'm sure he can run it. Just let Kidd play 48 minutes. He is the iron man of the NBA, so just let him play. Or, you can trade him for 2 point guards.
