So, I've heard about the criticism that those receiving federal funds have had to cancel corporate outings. Yet, I just noticed that President Obama's speech to House Democrats was part of an annual Democratic retreat. They had to use government resources to send President Obama and the traveling White House down there, as well as Nancy Pelosi and her private jet. I guarantee you that more federal funds were involved in staging this "retreat" than were any of the private sector meetings. Furthermore, all these folks were already in Washington. Why travel in the first place? Are they seriously this tone deaf to their hypocricy?
Why don't you just write a thread each day that says "I hate Obama". You would basically say the same thing.
I don't hate President Obama, just as I didn't love President Bush. Are you really going to defend this taxpayer-sponsored junket or do you just want to take a shot at me because I pointed out the hypocrisy of these lawmakers?
