Seems to feel that we after Andre Miller (which i posted earlier this week) and Nate Robinson. It says the knicks showcased him on Sunday. this guy nailed the Raptors Heat trade....keep that in mind...oddly enough...doesnt mention us with small forwards. Amazingly the bucks and wiz arent on the list.

    KNICKS
Donnie Walsh’s team has been on a roller coaster all year. A bunch of wins followed by a ton of losses.
Key Pieces: David Lee, Nate Robinson, Malik Rose, Jared Jefferies, Steph
Skinny: I’m sure you think I’m crazy for adding Jefferies to this list, but defensively he can help a playoff team, but will his contract scare people off? In the end, Lee and JJ2 stay, Nate and Malik go. We’re really trying to dig to find leaks, but MSG is on lock. “Spot on” Hahn apparently landed a great get with the Amar’e stuff. We’ve said dealing Nate is hard, but there’s no way he’s a Knick next year. He wants to get PAID and the Knicks won’t match so that’s not a good sign. I thought it made sense to keep him around for a playoff push, which can still happen, so if Walsh agrees then he stays. I think out of respect Walsh trades Malik to a contender. In this economy that contract is valuable. Honestly, who knows with Steph.

    Philly
Key Pieces: Andre Miller. Sam Dalembert
Skinny: Again, the Blazers are hot for Miller and are trying to make the numbers work. The Sixers would love Lafrentz’s contract to help soften their cap. You should be hearing more of that in the days to come. Dalembert could be a nice piece to a playoff team in need of defense and Sports Illustrated seems to be barking up the right tree with a Sheed for Sammy deal. Makes plenty of sense for both teams. In the end Dalembert stays, Miller gets dealt to P-Land.

    NETS
    Key Pieces: Vince Carter
Skinny: Carter still has a ton of game and the Nets may be looking to make a run at David Lee should the Knicks not lock up the power forward before the summer. But are the Nets buyers or sellers? The rumors are rampant that Carter goes to Cleveland for Wally World and some pieces. Can the Nets get more? Doubtful. Does Lebron get his third piece? Does he want it? We’ve seen that sizzling 2/3 duos aren’t always the best route.

    MIAMI
Key Pieces: Shawn Marion, Michael Beasley
Skinny: Beasley has world-class talent but he’s a nightmare off the court. The staff at the Doral Arrowood told me so after the rookie camp. It’s shocking that his name stayed out of the fray. Has Riley given up already? Is Wade done with the kid? Will that affect his decision in 2010? And what about Marion? He’s not in their plans so they have to get something in return. This is a classic Riley scare tactic with Beasley so I think they hold on to him for now. Marion is on the move and it seems Toronto for Jermaine O’Neal seems the most logical.

    RAPTORS
Key Pieces: Chris Bosh, Andrea Bargnani, Jermaine O’Neal
Skinny: Like the Sixers, the Raptors will make a move and it seems O’Neal is the first. But his contract is really tough to maneuver. They desperately need to reshuffle. O’Neal to Miami seems the most logical, but Bosh and Bargnani both stay as asking prices are too high.

    WOLVES
Key Pieces: Mike Miller, Jason Collins, Brian Cardinal, Juwan Howard
Skinny: Sadly for Kevin McHale, the much-maligned Wolves coach and GM, he had the team playing hard for a while there before losing rising star Al Jefferson for the year. Now he has to decide whether to trade Miller and some expirings, or get a high pick and try to build off the team’s relative success of this year. Miller and an expiring for Wally World make sense, but I have a funny feeling he ends up with a team not named the Nets or Cavs.

    KINGS
Key Pieces: Brad Miller, John Salmons, Shelden Williams
Skinny: The Kings are not relevant in the NBA, which has to drive the media savvy Maloof brothers up the wall. They won’t stand pat, they’ll make news for the sake of doing their hair. If it were up to them Miller definitely moves, and Salmons, no longer one of the best kept secrets in the NBA, has a new address as well. But are they really valuable to any team?

    BLAZERS
Key Pieces: Raef Lafrentz (expiring), Travis Outlaw, Sergio Rodriguez, Jerryd Bayless
Skinny: I’ve been hearing stuff about Nate (who had a monster showcase game the other night) to Portland, and a BS rumor was posted a while back regarding Rodriguez straight up. Here’s what I know. Seattle fans who love hoops have latched on to the Blazers and Nate is Seattle’s baby. His family is out there, as his mother was all over the MSG telecast. Nate would like to come home but it doesn’t appear as if the Blazers can meet his lofty contract demands. Nate is apparently preparing to ask for the moon. So we’ll see. Anyway, I think Outlaw gets moved if the deal is right. Sources have told me that he’s just too good to move and that teams haven’t caught on just how good he is. Knick fans saw it the other night. They want a point guard to keep Brandon Roy at the 2, and they are NOT ready to trust Bayless with the keys. They will be active, no question, and if they can get their point guard and another big body up front, maybe in exchange for Travis, they’ll be primed to make a move deep into the playoffs.

    SUNS
Key Pieces: The entire team (Including Nash)
Skinny: Is Steve Kerr’s arrogance comparable to that of Isiah Thomas? Absolutely. This team is not that bad really, but they are completely lost on both ends. We know they will be making deals o’ plenty.
Stay tuned for reports after the All-Star break as this next week will prove to be one of the most active in NBA trade deadline history.

That didn't have any information at all. The connection to Nate Robinson was nonsense. The Blazers aren't going to acquire Nate Robinson because he's "Seattle's baby" and some former Seattle Sonics fans are now interested in the Blazers.

So was he saying that most teams don't know how good OUTLAW is? I was a little confused about his analysis.

Sergio/Travis/Ike/Frye for Nate Rob, Lee and Jeffries.

NY gets value for Lee and Nate that they can use for the next two years in D'Antoni's system, and get Jeffries' 7M off their books for Summer of LeBron.

We get a chance to get better now, AND have the chance to use Bird rights to resign Lee if we want.

This also allows us to consider the possibility of moving Joel with RLEC.

I really don't like Nate Robinson's potential. He's one of the best athletes we've seen in a long time but he's still a 5'8" SG. In the playoffs he's going to get posted up and abused.

Outlaw for Nate? Are we getting Wilson Chandler as well? Nate is such a novelty.

Lee would be great, but not at max money, which he supposedly wants.

Given our shitty perimeter defense, do we really want Gary Coleman playing PG for us. I know the little guy has hops, but that doesn't make him a great defender. And, even though he has the advantage of playing in D'Antoni's 7-second or less offense, his offensive stats aren't really all the impressive. And then there's his defense...
