Is it a slam dunk for the coaches to vote him in? Do you think missing those 4 games hurt his chances?
He's a lock this year if he keeps up his current pace. If not, something is seriously wrong with the process.
He'll be in. He's taken his game to a whole other level after last season's All-Star year. I'd put money on him being the AS game.
Agreed. The way he plays does not equate into a long career. Then again, I would hate for BRoy to be just another jump shooter. Remember Mitch Richmond. That dude attacked the rim like a mad man. He got injured and became just another jump shooter. Actually, what we need is an enforcer. If you hard foul our superstar when he comes into the lane, we are going to decapitate yours. It makes other teams think. We do not have that guy on our roster.
Nah, he's good. He's acknowledged that he can't take those falls all the time or else he knows he'll end up like Wade last season.
*edited: No personal attacks* Roy is so quiet about his 27-30 a night, it's almost expected, but now more than not rarely praised! He's spoiled us and the league. The NBA has gotten so used to his steady stats they rarely jump up and down about it. The difference is class! When Roy scores 38, he is composed. When Kobe scores the same he run up the court cupping his nuts and heckling the opposing crowd! It's great to be a pro, huh?
Wasn't an attack, was a compliment for making me laugh! If ya read his posts he's like the two old men in the balchony on the muppet show! Funny!
I wish that were true, but Roy has had some off nights recently. He's not quite the consistent "steady" stat machine, but he's getting close.
I don't think that he's a slam dunk. He will deserve it, but often more players deserve it than actually make it. Ed O.
I think he's a slam dunk of Paul leaps over McGrady for the second guard spot or if McGrady wins and declines (and the league lets him). If McGrady gets in and doesn't decline (or the league doesn't let him) I don't know if Roy will get in. Going up against Billups, Paul, Williams, Nash, Ginobli, and Parker will be tough. I'm sure I'm forgetting someone too (except Kidd I'm not counting Kidd this year).
