Sep 26 - Paul Westhead took a week to bask in the celebration that followed the Phoenix Mercury's WNBA championship. Now the innovative offensive whiz, who is the only coach to win NBA and WNBA titles, appears ready to return to the league where he won a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1980.

The "Guru of Go" will meet with GM Sam Presti and coach P.J. Carlesimo about an opening on the Sonics' coaching staff.

The Sonics and Westhead are expected to conclude negotiations today, and an official announcement is expected soon. -- Seattle Times

Wow I like this if it goes through! With PJ and his aggressive defensive style adding a great offensive coach will be a nice adition!!

Sounds way too much like Paul Westphal for my liking, but in an assistant role he should be good.
